Hi!

I have seen these stand-alone recorders, which can record at several discs at the same time, but is it possible to do it via your computer if I have to NECs recorders and one Asus readingdrive?

So lets say its possible, can you then burn to two discs at the same time on the fly?
What about one on the fly and another from my SATA harddrive?

Thanks.

think that's possible, but... depending on your master/slave configuration, you would be able to record at low speeds. this is just a hunch since I've never tried or seen anything like this attempted.

I now that on a standalone duplicator each drive is on its own IDE cable. Dont you think it would be best if I buy a extra IDE-controller so each drive has its own cable?

well, if I were I'd first try to do something like this:
primary master: recorder #1
primary slave: dvd/cd-rom
secondary master: recoder #2

you start burning from dvd -> recorder #1 and from hard drive to recorder #2. DMA MUST be enabled.
but still this is a longshot...as I said...I doubt you will get high speeds, especially if you're burning DVDs. But it's worth a shot.
