Coax or s-video for capturing laserdisc with canopus advc55?

I want to capture a laserdisc using a canopus advc55. I use a pioneer dvl-919 ld player from 1999. Does anyone know if it's better to use coax cable to connect to the advc55 or s-video cable?

Is it true there's more dotcawl using s-video?

I know s-video is better than coax in general. But in this case I thought maybe the comb filter of the advc55 was better than the one of the 919 so in that case I thought it would be better to use coax and let the advc55 do the filtering.

Difficult to predict with laserdisc which cable will give the best results; why not capture a short sample using each connection, find a good frame to look at comb filtering performance, then compare the same frame from each capture.

I have to rent the LD player so I don't have much time to test but I'll do a bit of testing before capturing the whole thing. Thanks for the replys!
