Hi , I'm looking for a way to automate the whole process of :
- Capturing
- Encoding
- DVD authoring

Actually I'm using Virtual VCR for capturing, CCE Basic for encoding and TMPGenc DVD for authoring, although DVD Lab Pro is from another league, TMPGenc for my needs is much faster for a very simple authoring.
Needless to say the whole process, expecially for tens of VHS..., is a pain in the ... , 2 hours for capturing, 2 hours for encoding and then the authoring and the DVD burning, simply I don't have the time to follow the PC, and I don't want to buy a DVD recorder, IMHO the quality is slightly better with this method than a direct copy from a VCR to a DVD recorder.

Well.. can I create a script for the above prcedures ?

:thanks:

Personally don't know about scripting those apps, but If it helps...
Nero allows scheduling/timing, will capture straight to DVD format, & can capture straight to DVD in burner like a DVD recorder, but the quality in my opinion is a bit lower then separate steps -- to me that's the advantage of taking it slower.

Scheduling & timers are a part of many capture prog, but you'd have to know the length beforehand. If you want to cut the total time involved, capture to DVD format mpg2. If you want to get away from authoring & encoding as 2 steps, there are several prog to do that, where you feed in video and audio & get a DVD layout.
