I've upgraded to v2.9.3, I might say there's been significant improvement (especially in the subtitles section), however there are still some glitches present from day one.
Divx 3.11 plays rather difficult. I don't know what's the reason, the material was encoded good, but when I play it there are those "stop&go" this as I like to call them, the video goes on, then stops and resumes with a huge blur and distortion. Anyone had anything simillar?
On some divx 4&5 material (HDTV rip), the sound is delayed... again...anyone had anything simillar?

I bought a KiSS DP-1504 on saturday. I'm using firmware v2.9.3 as well and most videos seem to play fine so far. I watched a movie last night encoded with DivX 3.11 and the audio was half a sec ahead of the video. Maybe that was because I streamed the video from my computer.
The problem I have is that I can't get the harddrive of the DVD player to work. I can FTP files to the harddrive, but they're not visible in the menu, so I can't select and play the files.

Hm...never worked with a networked Kiss before. Well, if the problem persist, email their tech support. I sent numerous mails, everyone was responed to within the hour.

Being able to connect the DVD player to your home network is a great feature. No more messing around with CDR's and DVDR's. Simply install a very small application that makes your computer run like a server. Then you can browse via your TV through the folders on your computer and play the files (audio, video, pictures).
The problem with the harddrive was that I needed to make three folders first, named "audio", "video" and "pictures".
Last night I played a whole bunch of videos. All the XviD's played perfectly and the audio was in sync. I had a few small "stutters" with some of the DivX as well. I guess it's a problem specifically with DivX 3.11, 4 and 5 then.

yep...interesting feature but to no good use for me since all of my movies&series are on CDs&DVDs.
