GSpot beta can tell you that. Open an AVI and look under the 'Container' info:

Read the AVI File Format documentation by Alexander Noé (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/avi_docu/avi.pdf). Look under the sub-heading '1.3 AVI file types'.


Btw, it's OpenDML and not Open DMI
