First of all, a screenshot of this software:
http://mychapterdb.org/img/mychapterdb-view.png

This software manage chapters of a video file. It has been especially programmed for muxing them into a MKV file or demuxing them.
That's what it do:
- Opens IFO files from DVD-Video, gets timestamps of chapters.
- Opens MKV files, gets chapters and chapternames from MKV structure.
- Opens textfiles OGG CHAPTERS.
- Opens textfiles XML with chapters.
(can work with many encoding : iso8859-1, utf8...)

- Edits chapters and timestamps in a gui.

- Saves chapters in textfile OGG CHAPTERS.
- Saves chapters in textfile XML.

Model structure is a tree, so it can use subchapters, but gui for that isn't programmed yet...

Go to www.mychapterdb.org, in downloads section.

I can't open any ifo files whatsoever. I get this error:

An error occured while loading the file.
Bad FPS code : 0x-1.

Mkv files, OGG chapter files (both txt and xml) work fine.

Pretty good.

Could you send me your IFO file?

For me it's work with all IFO I tested...

Hmm, that's weird. I wonder if it's because my computer is messed up somehow.

Oh well, you can get the IFO here:

http://jellysandwich.info/js/VTS_01_0.IFO

My instincts tell me that you'll be able to open it...

Thank you very much for this bug report ^^

If I didn't have this bug yet, it's because your ifo is @30fps, and I never had such an ifo with this framerate (because I'm in zone 2 - france).

So you can update MyChapterDB to 1.001 (the link stay unchanged, MyChapterDB.setup.exe and others are now 1.001).

Thanks :D

EDIT: But there's still a bug with 30fps ifo, timestamp rounding is incorrect (1/3 has infinite numbers after dot :-( )... (ChapterXTractor has the same bug)
I will see that... But I will not have internet for 3 weeks... I will try to update anyway from another computer when I'll correct this rounding bug...
I'll have to modify a bit the timestamp model...

java 1.5: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

Sorry for my stupid question. But what is the right download from this side? I can´t find version 1.5. And all downloads are updates. And if 5.0 is the right version, which is the right download? Update 4 wit Beans? Update 4 JDK or update 4 with JRE ????

I never got java to run in past times and I very often tried and I really need a tip :) , thanks.

choose "Download JRE 5.0 Update 4"

JDK is for compile and run
JRE only for run
NetBeans is an IDE for programming

Your programm is really helpful and very sexy ;) :thanks:

But I would like to open files (Ifo´s or a existing "Chapter.txt") with a commandline to make things easier. Would this be possible in the next release?

Your tool works great for me. Expecially the automatik work with commandline.

In the moment we all have to fill in the chapters with copy and paste. Will there be some more automatism in the future?

Maybe loading an *.txt file or getting Informations from Internet?

LeMoi

I think there might be a DB with some chapters files :)
