Hello my dear friends. I am using ifo update 0.78 for updating ifos, to save DVD moive menu when inserting new subs, but i have 1 problem.. look

http://www.konzola.net/storitve/shrani/pics/shet40.jpg

I don't know what to do now? Do i need to edit original ifo with something?
This is not normal that moive is 0 seconds and has 0 chapters, but new movies all have problems with GOP timecode i think...

So what should i do? =( thanks a lot

I don't use IfoUpdate, so this is only a guess. Seems IfoUpdate is not able to allocate a new sector to store the infos you want to merge, probably because it doesn't rebuild the IFO completely.

So, you have to find a way to enlarge the space used by the PGC, so that a new sector is added in the IFO. PgcEdit can enlarge a table in an IFO, if it has a reason to do so. Although I have never tried this trick, it may work:
- Note the size of VTS_03_0.IFO, in Kbytes, just to be able to verify.
- Load the original DVD in PgcEdit, and select the PGC 1 of VTST 3.
- Add many NOP commands at the end of the pre or post commands. The total of the commands in the PGC cannot be greather than 128. So, enter as many NOP commands to reach this limit. (PgcEdit should not let you enter more than 128 commands anyway.)
- Save.
- Verify that the new IFO is now 2Kbytes larger than the original one.
- Retry the IfoUpdate job.
Good luck.

If it still doesn't work, then it's a bug in IfoUpdate. Sorry, but I can't help more.

The problem with DVD Remake may be caused by a wrong still time. You may force the still time to 255 (infinite) in PgcEdit. Locate the right cell in the PGC Editor, and change the cell still time (not the PGC still time!) to 255.

If it still doesn't work, then it's a bug in IfoUpdate. If it is a bug, I don't think there will be a fix for that in the near future as the author of IfoUpdate is also the author of DVD Rebuilder. As far as I know, IfoUpdate hasn't been updated for quite some time now. The last time I used it was last year.

@nukec

you could always try BatchUpdateIFO 0.9.0.10b (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=84319) as it is continually updated by the author Trahald, and it also has many cool features, such as a batch mode, which ifoupdate does not.

if you have any problems, please post in that thread.

cheers
