mac to pc

I captured my video with final cut pro on a mac and cut each scene into a seperate file and saved them as a mov file with the ntsc dv codec. I burned the files onto dvds so I could bring them home to edit. When I opened the files in media player classic I get a "could not render file error". These mov files worked on the mac I cut them on, but now they won't on my pc. Is there anything I can do?

Install Quicktime.

already tried it. Something else I noticed is, the file sizes appear as 2 gb on pc, whereas originally they were 3 or 4 on the mac. I'm beginning to think this goes beyond a codec issue.
