How does normalization work in ffdshow? Does it analyse the whole audio stream and adjust the after the peak, or does it adjust dynamically as it plays? If the latter is the case, and I have watched a few clips which make me suspect it, I think I will have to stop using it, no matter how handy it can be in some cases. There is a reason that movie soundtracks and music vary in sound volume.
