I'm pissed, I can't watch my movies after 10pm cause the soundtrack is so loud in action scenes if I want enought volume to hear any dialoque. Is there a player or other (directsound?) software that would help? I've tried the one in Media Player Classic but that doesn't seem to help.

if you use a 5.1 amp you can see if it support the dynamic compression feature of dolby digital
it may also have other features that limit the dynamic
when i watch something at night and don't wanna use headphones i watch it only with the rear speakers for stereo
p.s. (IMHO) watch you language!

Are you talking about the "dynamic range control" in MPC?

you can use some equalizer filter to increase the dialouge sound

or use ffdshow's audio decoder's "normalization'' filter - it'll work just as dynamic compressor

Where can I find this option?
