How to encode to QuickTime MOV?

Is there any simple way to encode movie to QuickTime MOV format? Have normal AVI (or any other format I can convert to) and want to make simple conversion with MOV codec selection. The only working software I found is Adobe Premiere, but there is problem to choose specific resolution and all that software is ... ehm.
QuickTime Pro is supposed to work too, but I couldnt figure how to open AVI in QTPlayer to save it as MOV.

Any idea?

When you say "AVI"... do you mean an MPEG-4 stream in AVI?

If so, you will need to make sure the MPEG-4 stream conforms to "Simple Profile" mode, otherwise QuickTime 6/7 Player will not be able to play it.... And you will also need to make sure the audio stream has been encoded to the AAC LC (Low Complexity) format.

Once you have your separate MPEG-4/SP video stream and AAC-LC audio stream, you will need to mux them into the .MP4 container. I personally use YAMB to do this.

After you've generated your .MP4 file, you should find that you'll be able to open it in QT6/7 Pro.... and save it to .MOV ;)

No, I have really simple AVI with video in HUFFYUV format and PCM 48KHz. No special MP4 and AAC...

Don't think that there is any huffyuv decoder for quicktime. If your avi uses codecs that quicktime supports, it should open fine.
