I donwloaded all the necessary files for MeGui but I don't recognize the extension onthe CLI version of x264. I feel stupid asking but my winrar won't unzip it.

You need to update winrar, install 7-zip or something else that handles 7z archives.

WinRAR v3.40 and above supports 7z. Once you decompress the archive, you should see a x264.exe inside it and that is the CLI. You don't need to install it, just extract it to a folder/drive.

Do I need to install the two patches or are they included?

Okay I got the following two errors when setting the path for BeSweet in MeGui
aacenc32.dll is missing from your BeSweet dir.
aac.dll is missing from your BeSweet dir.
I searched my drive but I didn't find these files anywhere. What program do they come with?
Also I don't know what to set the path to for mkvmerge.exe? I'll probably be saving my files as mkv so what do I need here? I didn't see a download for this on the MeGui page.
Boy nothing humbles you quicker than feeling like a noobie...

Unrelated to x264 CLI. Those are Nero DLLs.

You need mkvtoolnix, which contains mkvmerge.exe

Download the windows installer, unicode if you have xp/2k, non unicode for 98/me. Then you can set the path to it :)

I have just updated the sticky and the readme, though the latter will only be distributed with the next version.
