I captured a slightly old Anime series from VHS, and I'd like to fix the video a little. It's not shaky in the sense that the camera is really twitching, but more like because the source was a VHS, there are a few areas where the video might be a little shaky.

Imagine this scene:
It's a simple still life, no movement at all. Yet because it is a VHS, you can see it kind of shifting, even though the actual footage has no movement. I hope I'm describing this right.

I was hoping the Deshaker filter for Vdub would fix the problem, but that made it much worse. I don't need anything zoomed, cropped, panned, or whatever, I just want a program that will prevent the slight twitching of the video.

Suggestions?

Think about it. If you have to shift a frame down to make up for it having shifted up in the VCR, what will you put on the space that leaves at the top? That's why the cropping is done.
