Sound and video don't match

I copied a family movie from mini DV to MPEG 1 with Pinnacle Studio. I've done it several times before with no trouble. However, this time, I had pinnacle create chapters and a menu and burned to a disc. On the disc, the sound and video don't match up.

I really don't have enough experience with DV conversions to steer you; I'll send this to the DV forum where you'll hopefully get better help.

I have had bad luck with sync using Pinnacle (its been suggested some of their algorhythms are off slightly).
That said Saturday a friend said the mpgs she made with version9 were in sync. My suggestion upgrade to vs 9 or switch to something like CCE Basic
