No not for porn :) It's to take videos of my friends/family on our skiing and motoX trips.
I've already been recommended a helmet type camera and mount by a friend. I've seen his videos and they are quite nice. His setup is sturdy, durable and has a decent resolution. What he is using can be found here:

I'm all set there...but what I do need is the actual recording unit. The one my friend has was absurdly expensive (+1000) and out of my budget. I'm looking for something that is fairly small/portable plus durable in adverse temps, good battery life, acceptable resolution at high speeds and will let me easily transfer/edit video to my PC via a firewire card or removable media (im afraid that one which burns to RW media right in the camera might not be able to handle all the movment without skipping). My price range is up in the air, but seeing this is just a toy to capture some family fun and distribute it to the ones we don't see often, I'd rather not break the bank. The helmet attachment is already a few bucks.
Maby someone could compare/contrast the features vs price range in a few models, as I really can't make heads of tails of it.
Any suggestions or direction to reviews?
Thanks!
