I've never messed with the audio on a dvd before, but I decided that I would like to normalize the audio on my movies. (compress the dynamic range..or whatever) Anyway, I am not really sure how to do it, but this is what I have done so far: First I ripped the dvd with decryptor in file mode and stripped the audio streams, the 6 channel ac3, 2-channel, and DTS sound files..so I have the normal vob's and some files that are named:
VTS_01_1 - 0X80 - AUDIO - AC3 - 6CH - 48KHZ - DRC - ENGLISH - DELAY -66MS.AC3
VTS_01_1 - 0X82 - AUDIO - AC3 - 2CH - 48KHZ - DRC - ENGLISH - DELAY -66MS.AC3
VTS_01_1 - 0x89 - Audio - DTS - 6ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY -66ms.DTS
For the Ac3 files I used belights dynamic compression to hopefully compress it how I want (the DTS I think I will just leave). I couldn't find anything about anyone doing this before, so this is what I have done, could be completely wrong, just been going on trial and error.
Anyway, how do I put the audio files back into the Vob's? I'm not totally sure if it is possible, maybe I need a better understanding of dvd structure.
Thanks all.
