cant copy wine or red coloured dvds eg Hitch

please help. why cant i copy the wine or red coloured dvds eg hitch they keep coming up redundancy error. i am using dvd shrink 3.2. the normal silver dvds copy no problem eg Oceans 12. any ideas

I think the Problem you have is that these DVD´s are copyprotected with ARccOS (from Sony which consists of Bad Sectors on the DVD). Use DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 (or get yourself AnyDVD) in order to copy the DVD to HDD.. Then you should be able to use DVD Shrink..

You should be able to see a small Sign that says "DADC" on the inner circle on the back of the DVD. This should be a Sign that you got a copyprotected Disc. Most of which I have seen, got this Sign on the inner circle...

I agree with Easy123. You only mentioned one particular title ("Hitch") but that is a disc which has tons of info on this forum, since it has Sony's ARccOS copy protection on it. I suspect the other ones you are having trouble with may also be either a Sony disc, or a Columbia disc, or a TriStar disc, which means it has ARccOS.

Get the latest version of DVDDecrypter (or DVDFab, or any of the tools which successfully handle this form of copy protection). Do a search, if you need to.

I think the color issue is irrelevent.
