What are the differences between the "old" and "new" methods of ReJig?

I've watched the "new" method yield a stream with vapor trail corruption where none exists in the source stream. Am now running with the old method to see if it happens there as well.

What are the differences between the "old" and "new" methods of ReJig?
the old engine is a tweaked version of the first engine by Makira while the new is a newer one by him that has some good ideas like scaling etc. however the new can be a bit savage aswell. there have been some more changes since then aswell but nothing major. maybe in Rejig 0.6 you may one day see it. ;)

or if you have a mac os-x you can see the latest with DVDRemaster which is the program Makira works on.
