I'm going to render some 3d animation stuff.
i would like to do this so the resulting pic is anamorphic cinemascope.

In my software I can enter the width and height of the picture and a PAR to stretch the pixels.
I donīt know the correct values.

I thought sth like rendering the pic to 704 x 432, add border for 720 x 576 and a 16 / 9 flag.
But I do not know how to get from a 704 x 304 (square) to
704 x 432 (not square, including the cinemascopeborders).

My brain hurts :( , perhaps someone could help me with that.

The Par is 1.421
The picture is renderd with a height of 432; black borders up to 576; 16/9 flag for mpeg 2.

I took an anamorphic pic from a dvd, cropped the upper and lower 72 lines, giving the
pic "container" and resized it to 720 x 304 giving me square px (not 100% exact).
432/304=1.4210...
Now I simply go backwards.

I'm interested too!

Can you provide some before and after still images?
