I am so damn fed up with the horribly crappy method used to Telecine Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons, etc. I've yet to find a solution to it, but I'm absolutely someone here has it. So if you're that person, please please read this.
Allow me to explain this completely: I am attempting to rip my Family Guy DVDs to XviD-Ogg MKV. I like MKV. Anyway, as with every other attempt I've made at converting Fox animation in the past, it's coming out horribly. DGIndex is unable to do an IVTC on it -- at least without making the video incredibly jerky -- and the Telecide-Decimate routine built into GK leaves behind jaggies. (Or is that called "combing"?) I've updated to the latest Decomb as well; no luck. I've read a few guides on possible IVTC procedures but I'd rather ask if anybody knows, offhand, what filters and settings work for Family Guy before I start guessing and checking. And I am of course open to advice. Advice that doesn't involve Deinterlacing. :P
