For a while there, I was a faithful CCE user, then HC came along and made me think. HC was pretty good, especially for such a young project, but there's something about it that is still missing. I recently made the donation and started to use RB Pro with CCE and HC comparing quality. The first movie I tried was ET, I first tried HC with best profile, 10 dc precision, autogop and the autoq 2 matrix, not too bad. I then encoded ET with CCE with pretty much equivalent settings, including specifying the autoq 2 matrix. The quality was amazing, better than I've ever seen it, was there something I was missing before or does RB Pro offer more for encoding with CCE than the free version? I've verified the quality on subsequent movies as well, with bitrates ranging between 3700-5000. All are excellent! I'm going to have to make new backups of some of my previous backups. I'm I the only one experiencing this?
