It takes a while for d2v files to be created with this, so I was wonderin' if I could open DGIndex multiple times and have them all working at the same time? Will it effect the way the files run or anything, or is there nothin' much to worry about? If your reading this and tried it before, please respond. Any feedback appreciated.

Yes, you can open multiple instances of DGIndex and have it work on different files and even the same file (I just tested this before replying to you). I didn't see anything fishy with the output d2v's, they look exactly the same. But this actually depends on the speed of PC - total time will always be kind of same - if you do everything serially or parallelly. Also note that you can edit the file DGIndex.ini in the DGMPGDec directory and change the Process_Priority to whatever you want (High/Normal/Low) so that it will be applicable across every instance of DGIndex you open.
Does this help in any way?

Yes, thanks a bunch for the reply!! ^_^
Another question or two:
Is there anyone still working on Vfapi? I'm having a bit of difficulty getting it to work right on my new computer. I wish they would update the AMVamp with the new DGindex, and have it install Vfapi as well and have it all integrated for you. I try replacing some DGindex files from 1.2.1 in the AMVamp with files from the version 1.4.0, since it seemed to make things run ok on my other computer, but it doesn't work with this computer. Maybe it's not such a good idea to do that. Also I'd like the new DGIndex to automatically create avs files like the one in AMVamp does, but I don't know how to get it to do that. Any help is appreciated. :)
Oh and also if anyone is still working on Vfapi I would like to ask if someone could put a drag in drop feature since it's easier for me to get to the files through the desktop than doing it through add file since I have to constantly open it and close it just to add a list of files. Thnx!!! ^_^

afaik, the source for the actual vfapi program/codec is not available and the last update was quite some time ago (late 2002 maybe?). So I don't think it is being worked on by anyone.
I can drag and drop files onto the vfapi conv program just fine here, or is that what you are asking?
For the avs script generation by dgindex read the quickstart guide. Down towards the bottom it shows how to setup a template to be used.

Actually, producing two D2V files on a dual CPU system should be quite a bit faster as long as reading the 2 files doesn't produce a bottleneck - which, with enough read-ahead, it shouldn't...
