ok i ripped a dvd with dvd decrypter using file mode onto the hdd, now when i try & load it into autogk using dvd file mode it says info stream file not found or something, so i guess i have ripped the dvd incorrectly but all the files video_ts & vts_01 etc appear to be there, what can i do to fix it seeing as i no longer have the dvd to re-rip it?

Upgrade to the latest beta of AutoGK and then retry.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. See the bold text:ok i ripped a dvd with dvd decrypter using file mode onto the hdd, now when i try & load it into autogk using dvd file mode it says info stream file not found or something, so i guess i have ripped the dvd incorrectly but all the files video_ts & vts_01 etc appear to be there, what can i do to fix it seeing as i no longer have the dvd to re-rip it?AGK expects you to use IFO mode. See the IFO Mode section of http://www.doom9.org/dvddec.htm for further info.

Ah! Didn't cross my mind that chooklotto might have ripped the DVD in file mode. So just to add to what jggimi said -
The latest AutoGK don't need the streaminfo.txt created by DVD Decrypter anymore since it has its own IFO parser module now, but again - you need an IFO nonetheless. So if you don't have the DVD anymore with you to re-rip (how *cough* come *cough*, anyway?) and you don't have an IFO file, you can use IFOEdit to create a new IFO for your movie VOBs and then feed it to AutoGK.

...So if you don't have the DVD anymore with you...And I hadn't noticed that chooklotto stated in the starting post: ...as i no longer have the dvd...This falls outside our definition of Fair Use. See the Piracy & Copyright section of http://www.doom9.org/disclaimer.htm for more info.

:thanks: i will try the suggestions. jggimi, in my defence i'd like to say i don't own the dvd anymore because i sold it to someone on ebay & ripped it to the hdd before sending it out. I also own about 200 original dvds so i actually buy them instead of just dloading from the net like most so i think i deserve a break eh?
