View Full Version : audio out of sync

Lately every avi file my audio is out of sync.

I have attempted the solution in this sticky:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=51096

But that does nothing.

I have converted the avi to have wav audio.

Ive also done this: Ripped the video with no audio, and audio in wav form with no video. Then joined them with nandub.

No difference.

What else can I try?

Also met some similar errors. I couldn't determine what coused the problem for me, just that the problem was with the video stream. I was using directshowsource and FFDShow. After I reinstalled win and did not use FFDShow for Xvid any more I got rid of the error. (For this just det disable in FFDShow settings the Xvid flag).

What I checked is simple: Take a frame from the source avi and the resulted mpg file from the same timecode. Since you are not changing fps you can also select the same frame number. The two frames should be the same. For the mpeg stream I used Vdubmod, that can open mpegs and vdub/vdubmod/nandub for the avi. Just selected the same numbered frame and compared. They were totally different.

It's been a while since I've done SVCD, just tried two DVD's and my problem is that the audio is out of sync. I can't find the fix for that. Any suggestions? I'm using DVDroba w/DVD2SVCD and CCE.

Thanks

Under the multiplexer tab did you set the movie offset seconds >0.
I set the value to 1 but that's a long time ago.
luck PB

it's set at 1. Does it need to be at 0 now?

For those troublesome SVCD sync conversions. I was thinking maybe I should just strip the DVD movie only and see what happens, so I did just that. I used DVDshrink to get me movie only then tried the SVCD conversion again leaving my DVD2SVCD settings the way they are supposed to be and VIOLA, a perfectly sync'd SVCD encode.
