I downloaded some audio files which were m4a files. Is there a simple method to convert them to mp3 files?

By using iTunes (drag & drop your files + right click & convert to mp3).

I did that but when I clicked Burn, iTunes said the files counld not be burned. So I used nero to create a cd-rw, then copied them to iTunes and finally got them as mp3 files.
