Hello,

When attempting to compile a project in scenarist 3.01, it wont always work. Sometimes we get a access violation memory error, sometimes the CPU spikes and the program freezes, and other times it works fine.

System:
AMD 2800
Nforce 3 MB
2 GB ram
Matrox Parhelia 128
One 80GB IDE, One 250 GB IDE
Two 200GB SATA in raid-0
pioneer dvdr

NOTE: i disabled norton's realtime file protection, disabled microsoft spyware, and am not running the nforce IDE drivers. Also i get the memory access violation error when trying to decode in real time with the matrox card. All matrox drivers are up to date.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

Make sure you are not using a cracked version of Scenarist, as it crashes a lot. If you did obtain Scenarist illegally then you should not persue this (see rule 6). Otherwise I would suggest going back to version 3.0, it is much less buggy.

Thanks for the tip I have been a licensed user since 2.0. I just get pissy when Sonic throws out stuff and makes guys like me beta test for them. With the money I have spent over the years I should be an owner in the company. I appreciate the improvements that have been made. But Lord knows they have made enough money to give us something better than this version 3.01. 3.0 seem a little more stable. I also rolled back to service pack 1 for Windows and got some performance improvement on 3.01. I got in a panic, I had a big presentation and did everything that Sonic said but it was still crashing. I think I had a bad memory stick, but I swapped it out the same time as I rolled back versions I will do a little more testing to see if I can figure it out. I least it is stable on compiles now. Thanks for you time addressing this issue. It great to have someone there to talk you off the ledge sometimes.
