Hello,
I am trying to go from an pal avi to ntsc dvd and havn't been successful yet. I have read posts from nick and others but I must be doing something wrong.
If I check edit as part of video encoding in frameserver and start it does the audio then the avs window comes up and i change the size to 720, 360 with 0,60,0,60 borders, which should give me 480. 360+120=480. I don't put assumefps or convertfps as nicks instructions don't say to do that. It then encodes the file, however, when it's done the file is still at 720x576 and not 480. If I put assumefps=23.976 it then changes the picture size to 720x480 but I'm trying to use dgpulldown to keep the audio in sync. What I wanted to do is change the size to 720x480, encode the file, stop, use dgpulldown to change from 25fps to 23.976 or 29.976 or whatever will work in scenarist or dvdauthor then remux the audio/video.
