decrypter problem

I have an anime dvd here.

I have successfully ripped it from the disc. I then mount the image in alcohol and use decrypter to rip the files (file mode). I can't rip the last .vob. something about i/o error.

If I ripped the dvd image into another DVD image (iso read mode), there are no problems.

Does anyone have any ideas?

unfortunately, the reason why I made a DVD image of the disc is because it is badly scratch. Most often there are read errors. I was lucky enough to got it to read successfully once.

Try IsoBuster freeware Here (http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/) by SmartProjects. The full version is payware, but I used the freeware version successfully on a game CD of my kids, which was unusable due to scratches. It works with CD and DVD's.

Data recovery is their thing.

But I'm still curious for decrypter's weird behavior. This is the first time it happened to me.

as far as I'm concern, the topic is why can't I rip a DVD image using file mode while when using iso read mode there are no errors. :)

Obviously,because you are ripping a scratched DVD. Just because you got DVDD to make a disc image (once)that doesnt mean it will work.

It's really quite simple,DVDD cant read whats not there.

But since the topic isnt how to rip a scatched dvd,I wont bother to tell you :D .

well decrypter would display an error during iso read if a disc can't be read. This never happened to me.

I guess the word " once " says a lot.

If ,as the title of this thread indicates,you are having a "decrypter problem". the problem is that you didnt get read errors, "once". this, based on what you have written so far,is the anomoly.

Anyway,This may be off topic, but what are your intentions with the files you are trying to rip from the iso?

You could try to run the iso through dvdshrink,if it doesnt choke on the questionable iso,it may produce good files.
