Is it just me or is the lower section (which I unfortunately need to read) broken?

works for me ...
please note that authoring with ifoedit is generally not recommended for NTSC material.
since this guide there have been MANY freeware programs that can multiplex elementary streams ... personally i use muxman.

scroll down - about half-way down it turns into gobble-de-gook.

I am not sure whether this is the correct forum (though I think so) but I have a PAL movie in Arabic (which I do not speak) with five different subtitle languages, one of them English.

I am trying to use the proscribed method to demux the subpictures also, transcode video using Procoder and then thread everything back together with IFOEDIT.

tried it in both firefox and IE and it works great

i am sure this method will work fine for you ... personally i would use the 'big 3' method (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=66) .. but then i am probably a little biased :sly:

Actually figured out that Muxman would do what I wanted it to do - thanks for the hint.

I looked at the 'Big 3' and yes - it probably would be the preferred way but certainly quite an effort.

Now I am somewhat stuck with another problem, namely that the coordinates of the subtitles in the original move are calculated for PAL (576 lines) vs 480 for NTSC. I'll have to find a simple way to reposition them...

But that is another story.
