Hi all,

I think this is in the correct forum.

I have a movie, 2 xvid avis with mp3 audio, i need to extract the audio to convert it to ac3 for a dvd. I have tried saving as wav and demuxing in virtualdubmod. However the result is i only get around 11mins of audio for the 2nd xvid (which should be around 1 hour), the 1st one is ok. The audio plays fine in the avi file, so i assume it must be slightly corrupt which is why it isnt fully extracting. Anyone know any way i can extract it all? I considered real time recording but i dont have the time :(.

If its relevant i do get a VBR warning with both files in vdub.

Thanks for any help,
Jack

I also have had this problem with VDubM. The demuxing aborts at some randome point. What worked for me was just retrying :D
At least at the 5th try VDubM demuxed the audio stream completely.
No pro solution but worked fine for me :helpful:

you can load the avi in besweet (I use the Belight Gui) and de-mux and convert the audio to ac-3. Belight is a real good easy to use gui.
