Hi
I posted earlier because Besweet kept crashing while i was converting avi to vcd/svcd. i was using latest version of dvd2svcd but still it kept crashing and i was told to run tests of my computer to check the stability, i found no problems. my computer is quiet old.
is there any other options ?
can i use other programs than besweet?
can i encode audio myself and then use it later by any chance while using dvd2svcd.
plze help me as iam very keen to use this Wonderul program.

Besweet generally crashes because of some sort of shortcoming in the audio you feed it.

The best way to avoid all of this is to convert the audio in your AVI to 48khz decompressed (.wav) format, before you convert it in DVD2SVCD.

Virtualdub will do it for you.....

what you mean? do u mean seperate the audio from avi first and then use vdub to add the saved avi instead of the one currently present in the avi.????

Clarity isn't really my strong point :p

Virtualdub will let you save a copy of your AVI, make sure you have "direct stream copy" set for the video (or it will be massive) and "full processing mode" and the "conversion" feature set to 48khz, high quality, 16bit, stereo in the audio menu.

That should give you an AVI with an audio stream Besweet won't chuck a wobbly over when you run it through DVD2SVCD.

You should be able to work it out in a minute or two no problems.
