I created an HE-AAC MP4 file from a MP3 file to test and the output is unplayable in every player. MPC gives me

Error: can't open file: 80004005

Any clue?

now MPC say "Unsuppoeted stream". Foobar still say "can't open file"

seems a MP4 to me: ftypmp42 mp42isom mdat

Just in case you were in a panic, I've re-encoded your MP3 source to AAC-HE@96Kbps in .MP4 (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/seemoredigital/AAC-HE@96Kbps_for_Sirber.7z) using Foobar2000.

Foobar also provides support for converting the MP3 files ID data into MetaData :) .... Sorry Kurt.

Bug confirmed... but only with your source file. I tested with other mp3 files and all seems to be ok. I don't know why actually...

You've encoded your file with Lame, right ? Which version ?

Lame 3.90... :eek: Pretty old. And it has been transcoded directly from a CD. ;)

I checked once again your file and I don' t know why BeSweet doesn't transcode it. Try to bump DSPguru with this trick.
