Here are the specs of the software/hardware:

AMD XP +3000
1gb Cruicial Ram
NEC ND-2510A DVD-RW
WinXP Pro SP2
AutoGK 2.13B
DVD Decrypter

I've have several sucessful DVD rips but have had some problems recently. On two of my DVD's after going through AutoGK, the sound lags behind the video about 2-3 seconds. Before AutoGK when its still in the VOB form, the audio and video are perfect. I was turning them into DivX. Is this a known or localized problem of mine? I do internet searching during rips but don't play games or anything else intesnive on the hardware. Thanks!

...the sound lags behind the video about 2-3 seconds....Is this a known or localized problem of mine? Hello, and welcome to the forum.

If you're asking about whether or not a procedural mistake can cause that symptom; yes. A common mistake is to neglect to use IFO mode when ripping; it can cause a variety of encoding problems, including what you describe.

If you're not using IFO mode, re-rip. If you are using IFO mode, then :logfile: -- there may be something that can be determined from the AGK log.

Not AutoGK, in DVD Decrypter. Look at the Menu bar, click on "Mode", this is where you'll find the three mode options. No worries, after you successfully complete a few AutoGK rips, you'll be able to do this in your sleep!

To make it easier for you, just press your "I" key on your keyboard when in DVD Decrypter. ;)

I'm not that simple minded ;) . At least I'm not just decoding the whole disk like I was in auto mode.

The "i" key is just a shortcut.

Please let us know if this solves your problem.

Sorry about that. The problem is solved and decoding is much easier now. Thanks all!
