my problem that i have been trying to figure out for a month and a half is that when i reauthor a movie with shrink, then burn it, it doenst play(any standalone, tried 3 different ones). On powerDVD is gives me the error, Missing object or name. The dvd i make is missing the Video_ts.vob file. I dont think it is the burner, because i can rip and burn movies and they work just fine(as long as i dont reauthor them). i also dont think it is the media because like i just said, if i just decrpt, shrink, and burn a movie it works just fine. i have tried to rip the movies to be edited with decrpter, shrink, nero and they also seem to put the movies on the hard disk fine. After editing i have tried to burn with nero, shrink, and also making an ISO and burning with decrpter. All these ways still give me same error. i have shrink 3.2.0.15
i am ready to give up. wasted about 20 dvds now.

On powerDVD is gives me the error, Missing object or name. The dvd i make is missing the Video_ts.vob file. If you use DVD Shrink's re-author mode, you will lose all functionalities of your menus. Basically, you can keep your menus.

Are you saying that testing your re-authored backup in PowerDVD is giving this error? Of course, you have to select the option to save it to your harddrive. But, this is very strange.

After editing i have tried to burn with nero, shrink, and also making an ISO and burning with decrpter. If your ripped files (All files) plays in PowerDVD or DVD Shrink without any edits, it's something do with your edits? What are you editing?

when i burn the dvd's( i have tried to burn them straight from shrink with nero, and then i have also saved them as ISO and burned them with decrpyter). i put them in a standalone and they just read blank media.
when i put them in the dvd player in the computer. then use powerdvd to play from the dvd drive...it gives me the error. when i do an isoedit, before i burn it is missing the video_ts.vob file, i dont know if that is the problem

the editing i am doing is putting 3 mini dvd's onto 1 full disc. so in shrink i drag the "TITLE 1" over, and then select the next disc, and then drag over the "TITLE 1" file over. all the mini dvd's are on my harddrive already, in different folders. i really dont care about the menu's at all. unless of coarse i need a menu system to have it play in a standalone.

You don't need a menu for your standalone. You can use the skip key to go to the next chapter and once you're through will all chapters of title one another skip will take you to title 2. To have a more convenient way use PgcEdits remote 'DVDShrink Remote Buttons'-macro which will use the title key to jump to the next title or use my guide (http://www.dvdshrink.info/chetwood/PgcEdit_menuimport.php) to import a selfmade menu.

since i dont need a menu for the dvd to work, thats fine, but then i get the error that i am missing an object or name...which i believe is the video_ts.vob file...this file i understand usually has the menu in it. so i dont need a menu, but i somehow have to create this file.or should i try erasing the video_ts.ifo and bup. and if so, how would i do that.
