Acceptable Resoultions For DVD Video

I have 10 NTSC VCD videos that I want to author to dvd without re-encoding them. I know 720x480, 704x480, and 352x480 are all acceptable NTSC DVD resolutions, but is 352x240 accepted as well? If not, are there any apps out there that chan change or re-flag the mpeg headers in the videos to make them appear as true dvd-compliant files?

According to videohelp.com, "352 x 240 pixels MPEG1 (Same as the VCD Standard)" is an acceptable resolution for an NTSC dvd, so you're good to go!

edit: your audio will have to be upsampled to 48kHz though.

I thought that might be the case. All I need now is some batch way to strip the audio out of the mpeg files, upsample using ssrc, remux with the videos, and then do a basic dvd author somehow.

Tmpg DvdAuthor will take the files as is and upsample the audio on the fly. Worht looking at.
