AC3 conversion from 23.976fps to 24fps problem

Hi there ;)

I'm trying to convert a 23.976fps ac3 to a 24fps ac3.
I tried multiple versions of besweet (including latest beta and latest stable), but no matter which one I use I get cracking sounds in the resulting ac3 files.

I need to do this because I want to sync a 24fps video with a 23.976 audio, and I don't want to touch the video.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

hmmm. why don't you just change the framerate by modifying the framerate of the container?
AVI -> Virtualdub -> Change to 23.976 & Direct Stream Copy

MPG -> Restream -> Framerate: 23.976

I tried that, but somehow I can't manage to synch the audio...
When I convert the audio to 24fps, it's in synch with the video, but the audio cracks a lot...

When I convert the audio to 24fps, it's in synch with the video, but the audio cracks a lot...As scharfis_brain mentioned, in this instance it is far more logical to adjust your video streams fps to match your audio streams fps (ie: 23.976).

If you've tried this and your muxes are still out of sync. Have you managed to work out whether the mux is out of sync at the same rate all the way thru' the encode. Or whether it get more and more out of sync as the encode goes on?
