Hi, just uninstalled all DivX, Xvid, and AutoGK stuff on my machine, then installed the new DivX 6 Create bundle and then AutoGK 1.95, followed by 2.13b. I ran a file through and selected DivX as the codec in Advanced Settings, but the resulting .avi file (the box next to the codec selection in Advanced Settings, output format, was greyed out) seems to be DivX 5 according to both GSpot and the new DivX player.

I thought there might have been a problem with the installation of the new DivX 6 codec, so I ran a small .avi file through DivX Converter to see what it spit out. The resulting file, with the suffix .divx, shows up in GSpot as still DivX 5, but when I play it in the DivX player it shows as DivX 6 Pro.

Is AutoGK not using the newer codec for some reason? Also, why is the output format area greyed out in Advanced Settings? It seems I should be able to choose .divx as the format if AutoGK is in fact using the DivX 6 codec, right? Thanks.

I can't answer your question as to advanced settings, but AutoGK 2.13 should be using whichever version of divx you have installed, so if you have divx 6 installed that's what it should use.
