replacing menu created by dvdremake after joining 2 dvds

i have 2 dvds that i want to join, each one is about 2.5 gigs.
i know i can do this with dvd remake pro but the menu it creates its so plain. is there a method that allows me to create a custom menu that gives acess to the 2 dvds? i want to preserve the original dvds menus.

lets say i join the two dvds with dvd remake, would it be possible two create a menu in dvd lab and then replace the one dvdremake created by the one i created?

There is a sticky thread in this forum (ifo/vob editors) that explains how to join 2 dvds with free tools(pgcedit).. and using your own menu.

Can vobblanker be used to replace a menu cell? If that's the case (I think it is) you could do that, create your menu in dvd lab, then replace the original menu cell with the new one.
Then open the DVD in PgcEdit and edit the modified button commands to be the same as the original ones. All in all, that should be pretty simple..

An easy way to customize the text DvdReMake Pro puts by default on start-up menu is available with DvdReMake Pro v3.1. Just use "replace background" feature.

1. Just download needed background image from download page: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/download.php (it is the same image as was used to create default menu, but without any text - only with highlight "pins");
2. Edit it in any bitmap editor (for example standard Windows Paint) to add custom text for each merged DVD;
3. Encode it to vob with muxman;
4. Open start-up menu of the merged project in DvdReMake Pro; right-click in it and "replace with still..." (hint: import authored with muxman disk before this and you will not need to load VTS with your new menu - it will be already available for selection).

That is it.
