When trying to use the RB video segment viewer/editor, I recieved this message: "Video not available, cannot find vids:YUY2 decompressor"
Do I have a setting incorrect or I am missing some sort of plugin?
edit: If I missed this in another thread, sorry

Try installing Xvid, it contains a YUY2 decompressor.

Interesting... YUY2 should be supported inherently using the msyuv.dll, which should be installed with Windows.

OK, I tried the easiest suggestion first, that was jdobbs to try to install msyuv.dll to my system folder. (Note: I'm using W2K OS). I installed the .dll to both C:\system and \system32 folders at different times, rebooted and neither worked for getting the segment viewer to show the clips.
Next I took wmansir's suggestion and downloaded XviD-Dec-1.0-Beta3. Installed, and then rebooted. Still not able to view any clips in the RB segment viewer...
I didn't install the full 'program' (XviD-1.0.3-20122004), just the codec, but when I installed the codec it did indicate that a 'decompressor' was loaded successfully.
Not sure what's going on... any other suggestions?

You have to set ...vidc.yuy2 to xvidvfw.dll or to hfyu.dll (huffyuv) (or whatever the correct names are) in your registry. YV12 FAQ contains an example.

I think you can use:
reg "c:\the path to\your\file.dll"
not sure though ;)

Have tried these things, but still no picture in segment viewer. The closest I get was in loading the XviD full program, which eliminated the message ""Video not available, cannot find vids:YUY2 decompressor" - but it still did not show a picture, just a blank screen.
Is there any other program I could direct this viewer to that would allow me to view the segments? I know I can fall back on using the Matrix Editor by Rockas, but I'd rather try to get this feature up and running the way it should be.
