trying to get my gigabyte K8NF-9 onboard firewire working, but there's a conflict with my x800XL VIVO ATI Specific WDM Drivers.
Does anyone know if there's anyway, via hacked drivers, old drivers or whatever, to temporarily negate the VIVO aspect of the card so my firewire can work properly?

I got the same configuration and my onboard FireWire is also useless... Altough without any conflict, it just doesn't work... Unfortunately I didn't find any solution, because I use FireWire on my SoundCard... Lucky me
BTW: How do you know it's conflicting with ViVo drivers?

Ah. It turns out I was wrong about that. I got a seperate PCI firewire card and that made everything work dandy, with no conflicts. Onboard still doesn't work tho.
Giga-byte told me to send back the board to be replaced. Obviously they failed to realise that without it my computer won't work. I'd say its a driver issue, or a firmware problem, and they just haven't had enough hassle from people to bother fixing it.
I'm gonna try updating the firmware and see if that works, because the few PCI slots I have are very precious to me! I'll let you know how it goes!
