hi there, i'm having probs with autoGK, b4 i i installe it all my movies and dvd movies payed prerfectly with fine clear picture quality;

but after installing autoGK things started going bad, whenever i go to watch movies on any of my media players, they all come out hazy bright, pixelated and colour distorted; i'mnot sure if i did sumfin wrong with the installation of autoGK 1.95.

but i was told by Neuron2 to use a prog called chopper XP and cut the vov down and watch it and send it to him, he also told me to watch the vob in DGIndex i believe its callled.

i played my vob in both DGIndex and chopper XP and heres the weird thing, they both come out clear as if i never had any problems, and when i go to watch any other movie of mine on VLC player, its fine and back to normal, as if to say the prob never existaed but heres the weird thing, i press stop on both chopper XP and DGIndex to stop playing the vob, but i still leave the prog open, my movies all work normally and fine on VLC but if i close one of the two progs i just mentioned and go to watch a movie in VLC player all the problems come back again, weird huh.

could someone help me out please, also Neuron2 mentioned to me swomething about it might be that the programs are taking over my video overlay or something to that effect.

but i dont think its my video card thats has the problems cos like i said earlier, b4 i installed all the autoGK and the other progs that come with it, everything was working fine.

it would really make me happy if someone could tell me how to exactly install autoGK and where to place all the files that come with it and where exactly to place it and help me out with with this player issue of mine.

once again i hope to hear from someone soon

@len0x

It does seem to be video overlay related, but I'm not very familiar with AutoGK and how it may or may not have affected the poster's overlay setup. I'd be grateful if you could have at least a little look at the issue. Thank you.

I think the key is that he had no problem before installing AutoGK but now after installing it, he gets bad video.

nVidia video card? It's a driver issue. What model is the video card? You may need to find an older driver depending on the type card.

I tried a number of times to upload the driver here but it wouldn't go through. I can e-mail it directly to the Hotmail address under your profile in two chunks - I already have it bundled in .rar format.

To turn video overlay on or off you have to be able to find it first.
NVTweak unlocks many extra options in the nVidia control panel/driver, including but not limited to Video Mixing Renderer

Download NVTweak http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=911
Run NVtweak
Select Enable all
Select File > Exit

Open Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > GeForce5200 > Video Overlay Settings and check Enable VMR.

Best drivers for image quality that I have found are 71.89 from http://www.tweaksrus.com
