It's a long story that we have tried to use DeDynamic/DynEQ (DynEQ is the successor of the DeDynamic filter) with multichannel avi files without success.
Perhaps those, hwo owns a standalone AC3 deck and a SPDIF soundcard it's not a big deal.
But I have 'only' an 4+1 speaker system and a 4 channel soundcard (and I don't want to buy any Home Entertainment System).
So, the problem was: I have seleted the '2/2+SW 4.1 quadro' setup (4+1) on the AC3filter panel. But when I have read the AC3filter readme file, I have accidently realize that is NOT the perfect setup: the coorect is '2/2 - quadro' (4). (my subwoofer doesn't have any signal-input)
And guess what !!! THe DeDynamic/DynEQ filter CAN connect to multichannel avi files!
So if you have an 2+1 or 4+1 speaker system select the corresponding Output mode without subwoofer !
So my setup:
- AC3filter 1.01a filter settings (it can be used to create virtual rear channels from mp3-avis :) )
Main panel: Output 2/2 - quadro; uncheck DRC Enable
Mixer panel: uncheck Auto gain control and Normalize matrix
check Auto matrix, Voice control, Expand stereo, Base redir 120
- DynEQ filter: setting :default
- in MPC: Options -> Filters > Overrides:
add AC3filter as the 1st filter (at the top) : prefer
add DynEQ as the 2nd filter (below): prefer
the order is important !!! (with some avi files the DynEQ filter still disconnect if the order isn't good)
Tadaaa! That's it! Enjoy!
