Hi Guys,

I was really intrigued by the add-on tool RB Farm and thought if I use both my PC's on my home network this could really speed up my encodes.

I have a couple of question that I hope can be answered.

1. Is RB Farm compatible with the latest Pro version?

2. Do I need to install DVD-RB on both PC's?

If it is not compatible with the Pro version then I hope it is compatible with the free version 0.93.

Has anyone used this tool and what have your results been?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

Yes, no problem with that

2. Do I need to install DVD-RB on both PC's?

No. You just need DVD-RB in the machine where you prepare the source and rebuild. RbFarm manages the encode phase, so as to speak.

Has anyone used this tool and what have your results been?

I think many people use it. Keep in mind that your computers should have similar performance, i.e. doesn't make sense use a PIII to help a AMD Athlon 64 bits. I recommend you that in the "server" , the source and target directory are located in different phisical disks, to avoid the I/O bottleneck.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.
You are welcome :)

Hi marpada,

Thank you so much for all your answers to my questions, I am really pleased it works with the latest RC2 Pro version.

Both my PC's are of similar capabilities so I should be o.k. :)

Thanks also for the I/O bottleneck tip that should help speed this up even further.
