I recently went on a trip with my parents, and shot a DV tape. Camera was Canon ZR-100, and tape was JVC, normal speed, 16:9 mode.
I copied the tape to my harddrive, and started video editing and output as DVD. The problem is about 10 minutes of the video in the output are without any sound! The original video file has sound for that segament. That particular segament was shot during a boat cruise, so the engine noise was quite lound. But I don't understand why the video editing render it soundless. I have tried both Pinnacle and Ulead.
