Hi Guys,

First of all I would just like to thank JDobbs for this excellent DVD backup tool, I have used it now for absolute ages, it has been my favourite tool for backup up my DVD's for ages and finally just over a month ago I managed to afford the upgrade to Pro which I am very pleased with so a big thanks to Jerry and the guys who have helped him out with this tool.

I was told that the pro version does not work with Robot1's RB-Opt and I just wanted to know if this was true and if so does anyone know if Robot1 is working on a version to work on the new Pro version?

I ask this because I like to use RB-Opt after the Prepare phase to do the OPV prediction which SansGrip helped to develope and I have got great results with the free version in the past.

Also is there a 2 Click mode in DVD-RB? By this I mean Prepare then a button to Encode/Rebuild.

Btw I love the new interface since RC1 with all the nice new skins, I love the new tabs and the seperate temp folder and destination folder.

I would appreciate any info on the above please. :)

Thanks in advance.

If anyone wants bad enough to automate rebuild after encode (in effect 2-click mode) they can use the batch "mode" as a workaround..

run prepare
use RB-Opt or whatnot
enable "skip prepare phase in batch" option and save project
enable batch processing
add your project and start batch

it will both encode and rebuild..

yeah that one has been around for a long time. I wonder how necessary it is to have the last two steps separated? Do many out there actually work on the encoded portions before pressing 'rebuild?

@borgraf

Thanks for the workaroud I really appreciate it, I shall use this method in the future :)

I'm sorry I wasn't aware that this has been asked for many times before, i just think it would be very handy.

Lol, I certainly don't. I like to run the Prepare phase seperate so I can then pass it on to RB-Opt and then once I have tweaked with my params a bit, I would be quite happy to let DVD-RB do the Encode/Rebuild in one fell swoop.

@Robot1

I am pleased to hear that you will updating your tool, I think it is a fantastic add-on to DVD-RB and I love the OPV prediction plus the other tweaks you can perform. I look forward to the update.

Btw, does this then mean that the current version of RB-Opt isn't compatible with DVD-RB RC2?

@All

Thank you very much for your replies, much appreciated. :)
