I have around 70 mpg video clips that i have encoded from AVI. How do i find the total running time for all the clips? I've tried draggig them into windows media player, but for mpg clips the total at the bottom stays at 0.00. If you add avi clips it does show the time, but unfortuntely i've been deleting the avi clips as i've been encoding them. So what do i need to do or use to find the running time of multiple mpg video clips? Thanks

Winamp's playlist can do the trick (it works with version 2.95 and I assume newer versions can do so).

How does winamp do it? I've downloaded the latest lite version and it asks you to add directories to the list, but its only adding wav files, it doesnt seem to recognize the mpg video files. Are you sure it can add these and not just audio files?

I must admit I don't use the latest version (version 5.xx). I stick to the good old 2.9x... And I'm sure this version opens MPEG files.
See this:
http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winamp
And download the 2.95 one.
Then, open the Playlist and drag your MPEG files in. The total length is displayed at the bottom of the playlist.
