OK i read the differance on +R an -R but i was wondering, i first used -R to backup my movies, and then i got some +R's by accident and i tried it n they burned fine and the play on the computer great, but the don't play in either of my DVD players. why is that?
Maybe i don't understand completly what the differance is, but i thought DVD players could play +R :S

Oppss sorry bout the title....

Welcome to the Forum:

Many of the older standalone players would only recognize -R media, yours may be one of these. Using the links below, you can check media compatibility against both your player, and burner. The only one it looks like you actually need right now is the player link, but since I've got these stashed in the same document, here you go.

Oppss sorry bout the title....You can try bitsetting, which changes the book type from DVD+R to DVD-ROM, which tends to make them more compatible with hardware players than DVD-R's are - http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/150
