DVD RB had been working perfectly for me a long time till I updated to 0.93b. I was trying to back up Aviator and Million Dollar Baby using the 0.93b this week and run into following trouble. I used both CCE 2.66 trial, CCE 2.67SP, CCE 2.70SP and none works right.
1) often time, I get the "encoding failed to creat .m2v, retrying" message
2) And I get a lot of "possible frames dropped in this segment" message
3) CCE 2.66 trial freezes from time to time. I noticed that if runs minimized, which I prefer.
4) severly oversizing and undersizing. I got 6.7GB, 2.1GB and 3.2GB on three tries with the Aviator.
I would appreciate if anyone give me a pointer.

No. I ripped the files on hard drive and started DVD-RB. There had been disks that had no extras and it worked perfectly well.

OPV or VBR, also can you try re-ripping the files to you hdd, maybe you had read errors

the ripping was fine. I tested with DVD Shrink and it worded fine. But I prefer DVD-RB for the better quality.

Your posting was so general that it is difficult to pinpoint the problem.
I would suggest to focus in one DVD, one encoder, one problem.
So first, the log you post about Million dolar Baby, what encoder do you used?
If it was 2.70, please redo it with other, as there has been reports of this dropped frames with this encoder. You should not have that kind of problems with 2.66 or 2.67
If it was with 2.66 or 2.67, I would suggest to desinstall RB and all its auxiliary soft (Avisynth, CCE, DGMPEG,..) and re-install. Please use Rockas installer for it. And install just one encoder (2.66 or 2.7).
Re-rip your DVD and run RB with just the standard settings
Report the result.
