Hello to all, I am using HC in order to convert DVB file in mpg and have a small problem. When i insert the file created from HC in dvd-lab, this give me the following message open gops were detected in the file nevertheless in HC "closed Gops" is checked why dvd-lab visualizes this message?

I think I read somewhere that Scene Change and Closed GOP should not both be chosen (I might be wrong)

In HC settings UNTICK 'scene change' and 'autoGOP' when you Tick Closed GOP

Then do an encode and see if you still get the error in DVD-Lab

This message from DVD LAB, that "Open GOPS were detected", IS NOT an error at all. Discussions about OPEN GOPS and CLOSED GOPS has many treads...It is polemic.

In few words: OPEN GOPS give you a better image quality.
CLOSED GOPS is better for edit and chapters point accuracy (like in dvd lab)

You can use either OPEN or CLOSED. Your DVD Player will run both pretty fine. Honestly I did not notice too much difference between OPEN adn CLOSED GOPS.
