There is also news that the output files that cannot be accepted by DVDShrink and Nero Recode, when copying Sony ArCCos protected DVDs has been fixed on Most of the ArCCos disks.

If you have been having the aforementioned problem then try out the latest
DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.3.2 (08/03/2005). Use the above posted link by Sedoy.

Regards,:)

EDIT: The above link posted by Sedoy, should always give you the direct download of the LATEST DVDFab Decrypter.

I can confirm that Shrink now recognizes the files for "Hitch" R1 after decrypting with v2.9.2.2. My previous attempt with the older version failed.

Thanks for the verification JohnG.

I am sure once this info. becomes more widely known it will cut down on some people having DVD processing problems.
I believe people in R2 were really having a tough time with the older version DVDFab Decrypter.

Can Anyone in R2 verify that the new v2.9.2.2 is working for them with the ArCCos protected disks.

In Italy "Hitch" R2 will be available in September.

I remember that with "Closer" the ArCCos protections found in UK, Spain,German and Italian editions was different.
Lightning_UK has created PSL files for UK,Spain,German and Italian edition.

Can Anyone in R2 verify that the new v2.9.2.2 is working for them with the ArCCos protected disks. If you are going to use the files in DVD Rebuilder - there have never been any problem.

If you plan to use the files in DVD Shrink/Nero Recode they now work on almost all ARccOS files from DVDFab Decrypter.

Still a problem with some titles such as RE2, Anaconda and perhaps a few other. The problem is that DVD Shrink/Nero Recode 2 expects an additional VOB files - that are not present on the DVD. An old bug in DVD Shrink/Nero Recode 2 that will be solved in an upcoming release of DVDFab Decrypter.

Well there you have it. Thanks to cynthia_old for that information. So, things will work even better in the next release of DVDFab Decrypter.

Hi,

I have upgraded to v2.9.2.3 and I have the UK PAL R2 version of Hitch and ripped it o.k and Shrink accepted it fine.

Also dvdd managed to decrypt it perfectly also and Shrink had no probs accepting the files. :)

Hi guys !!!
I tried with "ladder 49" italian version.
Dvdshrink 3.2.0.15 was unable to open the ripped files.
Using Vobblanker 2.0.0.2 solved the problem.
The files created using Vobblanker was perfectly managed by dvdshrink.
Thanks you very much for this pgm ;-) last dvddecrypter blocks on first vob.

There are a couple of things that annoy me about DVDFab Decrypter.

1. Is the lack of options.

2. Is that fact you can't save your extraction path like in dvdd and you constantly have to browse to your rip folder.

I suppose though beggars can't be chooser's at least it is free and does seem to do the job. :)

fengtao is a very nice person, and has already added a lot of features since the first release, including the CLI after some correspondence with me. I am sure that if you ask kindly (and sensible), it won't be ignored.

PS. I agree that point 2. is a little annoying, but you can add command line options to set a fixed output directory in your shortcut. Point 1. is not in itself a minus.

DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 is not able to get through this disc, that also go for AnyDVD 5321. These 2 proggies together did manage to rip the movie to the HD with a million of "pack header warnings" "arghhhhh to many pack header warnings". Anyway Shrink will not analyse the result because vob 8 is missing. I tried to use vobblanker but the movie is ILUV and that is not supported by vobblanker. :(

Then I noticed you guys talking about DVDFab Decrypter alot and I thought that I'll give it a try, and guess what. It worked perfectly, and shrink worked all the way through the movie :p :D

So DVDFab Decrypter (2.9.2.3.) is getting up there and hopefully it will stay there.

DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 is not able to get through this disc, Yes, it is. Use a PSL2 file. The norwegian and the swedish version should be the same DVD. You can find it here:

Well, cynthia_old I am sorry to say that it did not work for me. :( I followed the tutorial 100% and tried it several times just in case, but no luck. DVDDecrypter imported the PLS successfully but still didn't manage. Stops at the same spot every time. (beginning of vob 1). 16644 kb.

Anyway DVDFab Decrypter does the job so......

It irritates me a bit though.

I'll try to make a PLS file, you'll hear from me

Started ripping now and I noticed that this is the first sector.
W 05:20:08 Failed to read Sector 256304 - No Seek Complete
It is a bit different than your PLS file.

Hi!

Odd that they are releasing two different versions in scandinavia. I have norwegian subs in my version.

The barcode on my box says 5 050582 329445/DVD 823 294 4 * 48

I know that the danish release is the same as the swedish. So that the Norway should be given a different release sounds strange.

I fully agree, we almost always have the same versions. This also has swedish danish and alot of other subs. 20 in total. English and spanish 5.1 and commentaries. It is region 2 and 5.

DVDDecrypter has worked for almost 3 hrs now so I'll be back in a while.

Thanks for the tip Tylo on point 2, I take it the CLI commands are in the readme file?

I shall add the extention to my shortcut, I happy to hear that fengtao is a nice guy, hopefuly he can add a feature to remember the path some time in the future.

Point 1 you are right. :D I is not essential as long as it does the job (Which is does excellently) then I am very happy with it indeed.

Thanks again for the info. :)

@Tylo

Thank you so much for that command line tip. I read the readme file, l read the readme file and looked at the params for the Destination and ammended my shortcut on the desktop now DVDFab Decrypter automatically points to my rip folder and works like a charm. :D

So again thanks for the tip, now I am as happy as a Pig in Sh#t. :D

It worked perfectly with the PSL that I made. It is slightly different from your PSL, but that's enough to skrew things up.
